sources. This page credits those sources and states the open licences the
data is used under.

- aisstream.io — supplementary global AIS coverage from a
community receiver network.
- UN/LOCODE — port names, codes and coordinates published by
UNECE,
supplemented for a few ports by the
NGA World Port Index
(a work of the U.S. Government, public domain).

- Flag of Norway — shown as a faint background watermark.
The flag is a national symbol and its design is in the public domain;
the file follows the official geometry and colours published on
Wikimedia Commons.
It is used as decoration only. It is not part of our logo or of any
mark we claim, and its presence does not indicate that this service is
operated, endorsed or approved by the Norwegian state.
- Compass rose — our own emblem, and the star and rhumb
lines drawn across the page background. The compass rose with radiating
rhumb lines is a cartographic convention in use on portolan charts since
the 13th century and is not anyone's property; these renderings were made
for this service.
